The cigar shaped grip is formed from 1/4 inch cork rings. The cane is lightly flamed. The gold plated serrated nickel silver ferrules are wrapped with 6/0 Pearsall's white silk thread tipped with a single strand black ring. The gold plated snake guides are wrapped and finished as transparent in order to show the guide feet, ferrule serrations, and cane. Gold plated stripping guide. All splices of this rod are from the same culm of bamboo. The female ferrules have hand-turned ebony plugs.

Down-sliding cap and ring over cork insert. Burgundy thread wraps. Blued nickel silver ferrules. In a recent conversation with Dana Gray, he researched Sam's records and found the following information: The number 395 on the tip indicates it was beveled and glued in July of 1971 out of old dark strips. The butt number 454 was made in August of 1971.

Bamboo Fly Rod Hendrickson
The initials F.H.G. Are perhaps indicative of Franklin Hide Glue, which Sam usually used to glue up his test sections after the beveller was set. We do not know what the initials TC stand for.
This unique rod comes in an original bag and a Fenwick aluminum tube. The rod is in excellent condition. • $2,195.00 •. 8', 2/2 Model 8014 Built in 1968 for, and inscribed to, Acheson Harden. There were 103 of the 8014 model rods built and 31 known to exist today.

New Hardy Fly Rods
Blued nickel silver ferrules. Includes original cloth bag and aluminum tube with black plastic cap over brass collar. The condition is very good refinished. This rod was refinished using a non-original thread color, and the wraps do not have black tipping. There is a small hook ding on one of the tips.
